The Basic Stamp 1 Project Board provides is an economical "brain" for robotics, science fair and other programmable projects.
The BS1 Project Board consists of a surface-mounted BASIC Stamp 1 on a 3 1/4" x 2 1/2" (8.3 x 6.4 cm) printed circuit board. The board includes a 9V battery clip, a mechanically interlocked 2.1 mm power jack, DB-9 connector for programming, and LM 2936 regulator providing 40 mA for your projects. All I/O pins are protected by 220 ohm inline resistors to prevent damage from accidental short-circuits.
Some of the features:
- Mechanically interlocked power supply to prevent dual connection of wall-pack and 9-volt battery
- DB9 connector for BS1-IC programming and serial communication during run-time
- P0 P7 I/O pins, Vin, Vdd and Vss connections brought adjacent to prototyping area
- Includes 1 3/8" x 2" (5.1 x 3.5 cm) solderless breadboard
- Includes set of ten (10) color-coded 22 gauge wires
Additionally, the PCB layout of prototype area designed to accommodate advanced option kits:
- Parallax AppMod connector
- Parallel LCD connector
- Serial LCD connector
- Servo headers (Continuous Rotation or Standard)
The BS1 Project Board requires either a 9v battery or
AC Power Adapter 9 VDC. A
Serial Cable or

The BASIC Stamp 2px is the latest addition to the BASIC Stamp line of microcontrollers. It is 1.6 times faster than the BASIC Stamp 2p (executing approximately 19,000 PBASIC instructions/sec) and includes a built-in voltage comparator (I/O pins P0, P1 and P2) as well as built-in, user-configurable Pull-up Resistor, Schmitt Trigger and Logic Threshold circuitry on every I/O pin. In order to use the BASIC Stamp 2px, youll need to download and install BASIC Stamp Editor v2.2 available for free download.
