The board is compatible with all MicroChip 8-pin DIP packaged microprocessors. It includes a 12 x 11 pin prototyping area (132 pins total) with power and ground bus lines running the length of both sides of the prototyping area. All 6 microcontroller I/O port pins are brought to a clearly labeled strip. Oscillator options include footprints for a crystal or ceramic resonator with external capacitors (DC-20MHz), a ceramic resonator with internal capacitors (DC-20MHz), an external RC oscillator or using the internal oscillator. Power supply options include footprints for TO-92 and TO-220 voltage regulators, a 2.1mm DC power receptacle and a power-on LED.
