| | | BEAM Robotics Bicore Experimenters Full Bundle from Solarbotics
In addition to the plain BEP, we've assembled a LARGE bundle of parts to assist you with your Bicore experiments. This includes a complete BEP board, resistors, capacitors, LEDs, 74AC/HCT240's, solarcells, and considerably more!. You'll get a chip for every board that needs it, and a wide variety of component values so that you can get practically all your modules working. It's a $70 CDN) over buying the parts individually! - 17 x 74AC240 Octal Inverter ICs
- 4 x Maxim 8212 Voltage Detectors
- 6 x 1381C Voltage Triggers
- 2 x 74HCT240 Octal Inverter ICs (for the SC ServoCores)
- 6 x TR2n2222 NPN Transistors
- 8 x TR3906 PNP Transistors
- 4 x SC2433 Solarcells
- 32 x CP0.1F Monolythic Capacitors
- 4 x CP0.47F Monolythic Capacitors
- 6 x CP6.8F Tantalum Capacitors
- 25 x CP22F Power Filter capacitors
- 4 x CP.33F 2.5V AL Gold Capacitors
- 37 x TLED Tiny LEDs (Red)
- 6 x D1 1N914 Diodes
- 4 x 20k Trimpots
- 1 x BEP-RB Essentials Resistor bundle (6 x 100ohm, 24 x 470ohm, 26 x 1k,12 x 47k, 31 x 100k, 4 x 360k, 4 x 820k)
- 1 x RB4 Resistor Bundle (10 each of 1M, 1.5M, 2.2M, 3.6M )
- 1 x RB5 Resistor Bundle (10 each of 3.9M, 4.3M, 4.7M, 5.1M)
- 3 x SWT1 Power Switches
- 20 x #2x1/4" Sheet Metal Screws (for the Leg Mounting Pads)
- 1 x SPin32 Socket Pin rail, for non-permanent mounting of small capacitors and resistors (ideal for experimenting!)
- 2 x 3 Pin Headers (for the SC ServoCores)
Not included in the bundle, but suggested worthwhile (if you don't already have them) are these parts: - 0.22F Capacitors for longer Bicore time durations
- CP3300F Capacitors for the MSE1 & PM3 Solarengine modules
- CP4700F Capacitors for the MSE1 & PM3 Solarengine modules
- IR1 Infrared Sensors for optics experiments (I.e: for easy Bicore heads!)
- Motors! Like the Wormdrives in MCM2, or Servos (use unmodified with ServoCore), or even just the regular RPM pagers or RM1 Mabuchis.
- FETs, like the TR-ZVN2106 for Solarengine modifications
- TR100k Trimpots for further Solarengine enhancements
- WLeg Heavy-gauge leg wire, for frames & legs
- BHold Battery Holders for dual AA's, although the Bicore much prefers 5~6V operation
Manufacturer: Solarbotics. Manufacturer's Part Number: BEPBUNDLE.

| | BEAM Robotics Bicore Experimenters PCB from Solarbotics
The Bicore Experimenter's PCB ("BEP") is a collection of easy-to-use BEAM circuits on a snap-apart printed circuit board (PCB).
Modules include:- 3 x BC1 - Bicore Breadboards (for free-form experiments with the 74xx240)
- 6 x BC2 - Standard triple-buffered self-starting Bicores
- 3 x BC3 - Dual double-buffered separately-enabled Bicores
- 3 x IMx - Inverting Multiplexors (for reversing signal polarities)
- 2 x MD2 - 8 Channel Motor driver
- 2 x SC1 - ServoCore driver for unmodified hobby servos
- 4 x PM3 - 1/2 sized Maxim 8212 configurable hysteresis Solarengine
- 6 x MSE1 - 1/2 sized Miller Solarengine
- 3 x Chg - 1/4 sized Charging Jack / Power Switch module
- 9 x BB - 1/4 sized Breadboards
- 10 x LMP1 - Solderable leg mounting pads for mounting to servo arms
Each module is well documented, and the PCB itself is very well labled for ease of use. This board is IDEAL for robot experiments using BEAM Bicore technology.
Warning: This board is NOT intended for beginners. Only those with reasonable electronics skill should attempt to use these modules, as Solarbotics cannot assist in debugging any circuit mysteries you may find while wiring up using these modules. We can only guarantee the individual performance of each module by itself in that each module will perform as specified in the documentation. Manufacturer: Solarbotics. Manufacturer's Part Number: BEP.

| | Coil from Solarbotics
"Major Henry". These coils are 20.7mm (0.813") in diameter and 1.5mm (0.06") thick. They have a measured inductance of 1.03 millihenries -- not microhenries! -- with about 11 ohms resistance. These coils give a substantial kick when powered by a solarengine in a magnetic field, so much so that Solarbotics had to reduce the size of the capacitors in thier
Sun Dancer Solar Powered Butterfly Kinetic Art Kit kits from 4700 F to 3300F so that they don't knock themselves off their stand. Manufacturer: Solarbotics. Manufacturer's Part Number: CMH.
