USB Plug and Play Parallel 8-Bit FIFO Module (Rev 2)

	The USBMOD4 is a second generation USB interface module using the FTDI FT245BM USB FIFO. It lets you add a USB interface to your robot or other microcontroller project in less than an hour. The USBMOD4 transfers data between your project and a host PC at up to 8 Million bits per second using 12 I/O pins. It can be interfaced to an MCU using memory mapping, DMA or a simple I/O pin interface. Improvements in this second generation design include reduced external component count, improved power management, cleaner start-up/reset, and an EEPROM which holds USB enumeration data and FT245BM configuration flags. USBMOD4 is not a drop-in replacement for USBMOD2 due to changes in the hardware interface.
