SimmStick Section
A SimmStick is a standardized 30-pin hardware bus for microcontrollers. Building with SimmSticks makes it easy to reconfigure your hardware by snapping modules in and out. Do you like to prototype with the Basic Stamp and then move your code to other MCUs for production? Do you want to use the same robot base for both beginner Basic Stamp and advanced PIC assember classes? No problem, we have snap-in SimmStick boards for Basic Stamp, PIC and AVR processors. Do you want to compare two different hardware sensors? No problem, build them on SimmStick prototype boards and you can switch back and forth in seconds. We have SimmStick backplanes and controller boards with Basic Stamp, PIC or no programming interfaces built-in. SimmStick backplanes with serial and parallel interfaces can be used to connect your project to a PC. For some jobs you can let your PC directly control the SimmStick bus so you don't even need a microcontroller. Dontronics located in Tullamarine, Australia, is the commercial heart of the SimmStick development community and the manufacturer of most of our SimmStick products. You can find detailed documentation for all of our "DT" series boards at this site. Don has also documented a number of interesting SimmStick projects. Some of the original SimmStick information can be found at http://www.SimmStick.com. | ||||||
