They are almost 100% reliable and on those rare occasions when something goes wrong we can reach a human in their customer service department who actually takes responsibility for the problem and fixes it. UPS insurance claims are settled quickly so we can replace your shipment right away and you can finish your project. We email your UPS tracking number when your order ships so you can monitor your shipment as it moves from our warehouse to your home or office. USPS: Despite all the jokes, the US Postal Service does a very good job delivering packages. We offer USPS shipping because it delivers certain packages faster and cheaper than its commercial competitors. Like most government agencies, however, the Postal Service does things its way -- not the way its customers like things done. USPS computer systems are a nuisance to use. We spend too much time standing in lines at the Post Office. USPS shipping is an act of faith. We drop your packages into the mailbox and we have faith that they will come out at your address. Our faith is justified almost all the time. When things go wrong, we have to deal with a black hole. Nobody at the Postal Service will help us find your package. We have to wait thirty days to file a claim and then wait a long time for the claim to be processed. We all get frustrated and there is nothing we can do but suggest that you select UPS next time. USPS Bottom Line: For many shipments the Postal Service provides exceptional value with speedy, low cost service. On the other hand, delivery intervals are not guaranteed so you can't complain if the package arrives a little bit late. If anything goes seriously wrong, your patience will be seriously tested.
Free Shipping: We periodically offer free shipping as an option for certain orders. Free shipping is available for your order only if it is offered as one of the shipping options in our shopping cart and checkout screen while you are entering your order. In order to receive free shipping you must choose the "Free Shipping" option when checking out. We will use the most economical shipping method for your order which may be the US Postal Service, UPS or FEDEX with transit times of over a week.
