USB port powered PIC Programmer. No external power supply needed -- all required power is obtained form the USB bus. In order to keep the price low, a standard 40-pin IC socket is supplied -- you may want to replace that with your own ZIF socket. The ZIF socket shown in the photo is not included. This unit programs many old favorites and still popular PICs used in hobby projects. It programs only "F" suffix flash chips, not "C" suffix chips. It does not program the latest PIC processors.
