These kits are designed for beginning builders who need to learn how to use simple hand tools and to follow detailed instructions. These kits are recommended for children 12 or above, but many kids as young as 7 have successfully built these kits (and developed a lot of self confidence) with hands-on help from a parent or grandparent.
These kits produce real robots which run, move and interact with their environment. They are not programmable, so they only perform behaviors which have been preprogrammed by the manufacturer.
