Potentiometer 5W, 10 Ohm
This high potentiometer works great as a rheostat for controlling small motors DC like Mabuchi FA-130 Motor.
The low resistance range gives you a reasonable range of control over the motor speed. The 5W dissipation allows it to be used with up to a 6 VDC power supply without burning out. Make sure to measure your actual transformer output voltage. many wall transformers output a much higher voltage than stated on the nameplate.
